This young person has already shown up and put in the work. What they haven’t had is the one thing that lets that effort go further — tools of their own.

This need provides a complete power tool set for a student in our program, so learning doesn’t stop when the session ends. It means fixing a loose hinge at home, showing a younger sibling how something works, and walking into their own future knowing how to build and repair.

A financial barrier goes away. In its place: confidence, independence, and the pride of doing it themselves.

Bolder Options empowers middle school youth (10 – 14 years old) through one-to-one mentoring. Our program pairs each youth with a volunteer mentor (21+) who meets with them every week for a year, providing a safe and supportive environment for personal growth and development.
