We believe every child deserves to thrive!

Chronic hunger is an enormous problem plaguing Haitian families. More than 1 in 10 children in Haiti are severely malnourished, and 1 in 5 are underweight. The malnutrition and recovery center is here to help! Join us in fighting for the vision of a country where every child can thrive at home with their family.

This provides a place for these families to come to heal. We strive to not only offer intervention through emergency treatment of severe malnutrition, but also offer opportunities for families to provide for their children once they return home, through sustainability and education groups. To date, 3 years since opening, we have seen 382 children across 290 families, and every week we see and admit new children into the recovery center who need malnutrition treatment.

We are in need of a new inverter which will provide electricity to the whole recovery center. Everywhere from the emergency treatment rooms to the classrooms. Without consistent and reliable electricity we cannot provide the life-saving malnutrition care people need, as all of our medical equipment is electrical. As we now have more babies we also need a new scale. This is at the heart of what we do, to assess children, determine their treatment and watch their progress as they fight malnutrition, we need a accurate pediatric scale.
