Every $100 donated provides food and safety for one local kid in need this winter! Lift Up is partnering with the Antioch House on Oliver Ave in North Minneapolis to impact the neighborhood kids. “Love Boxes” are being made and distributed so kids and their families are able to get their basic needs met: Basic necessities, Coats, Gloves, Hats, Food. Plus some Christmas treats! These families and kids will get a burden lifted off of them, giving them hope and relief this winter. The things that most kids have access to do in the winter are things these North Minneapolis kids don’t get to do because they don’t even have a winter coat, hat and gloves. These families and their kids are still recovering from the past couple of years – hit hard with job loss and school shutdowns due to COVID, violent protests and social unrest in the face of an already historically violent and low-income area hit this neighborhood harder than others. Some kids saw their schools and other community buildings burning down – leaving their families with more job loss and no where to get groceries for months.
