For 14 years, Long Miles Coffee has been working with coffee farmers in Burundi to bring economic transformation to one of the poorest countries on earth. These farmers work hard to grow great coffee, but their communities still lack one of the most basic necessities of life: clean water.
The goal of this project is to raise $16,000 to build a clean water well in the Bumba Hill community supported by Long Miles Coffee. Families often spend hours each day collecting water from distant or unsafe sources, and contaminated water contributes to illness and limits the potential of the entire community. A clean water well would provide safe, reliable water to thousands of residents, keeping children healthy, helping them go to school, and freeing families from walking long distances to fetch water. Clean water would give Bumba Hill the chance to grow, stay healthy, and thrive — just like the coffee the farmers grow.
Long Miles Coffee does more than sell coffee. They support farmers year-round through training, camps for kids, and community programs. Every dollar raised brings Bumba Hill closer to well that will make a lasting difference.
