Every dollar will give at least 1 person clean water for 12 years. The local team is constructing electrical (can be manual if no electricity) water systems with accompanying reserovoirs for the rural communities in Northern Ghana. In this area there are no clean water sources. Currently, children and adults have to walk 2+ miles to access the dam, which has unclean water, then walk home with buckets balancing on their heads. Kids go before school, adults go throughout the day. Animals use this same dam, which makes the water more dirty and dangerous to drink. The community sees multiple people die daily due to water-borne illnesses like cholera, typhoid fever and extreme diarrhea. During the dry seasons, the water in this dam dries up and there is almost none.

Deep borewells are being dug and easy-to-maintain water systems are being put in closer to each community that walks miles to this dam every day. We are helping the hardest-to-reach and most marginalised communities develop specific services for their needs.

Going into the hard-to-reach and marginalized communities to put long-term water solutions in place.
