Every dollar will impact multiple families with the life-changing impact of clean water!
Water is a vital necessity for life! The people of Cite’ Soleil do not have access to clean water. With no opportunity to build a water well with the layers of trash that the community is built upon, our water trucks deliver fresh water 6 days a week and we employ Haitian drivers who work with our teams to help deliver this basic need. When the water truck arrives, people have hope and joy! Our teams get to serve the very least of these in a special way by carrying water buckets, and loving on children. It’s an experience like no other! Join us in helping to fund this important effort.
Cite Soleil is one of the largest and poorest slums in the western hemisphere. Estimates of 300,000 people in 3 square miles. Tin shanties, no power, no sewer or toilets. Leaving children suffering from water borne illnesses – many dying before the age of 5 from easily preventable diseases caused by unsafe water. Cite Soleil is an area of people who have been shunned by society. No businesses hire people who come from this area, few water trucks deliver to Cite Soleil. Average income in this area of Haiti falls below $1 a day. Cite Soleil if filled with resilient people who fight the odds everyday. Clean water saves lives and keeps kids from being afflicted with parasites and disease, keeping them healthy in the critical years of body and brain development.
Clean water lifts up a community that feels pushed down their whole lives.
