In Burundi, one of the poorest country in the world, lack of access to simple paper copy books can be the difference to whether a child goes to school at all! We’re making it easy for you to make a difference sending a child to camp . . . and to school!
The summer coffee camp teaches children about food security, agronomy along with family and community values. It is capped off with an adventurous contest in which every participant wins school copy books with the chance to win even more prizes like math kits, school uniforms and school bags.
In the last few years camp participation has grown from 2,000 children to an estimated 12,000 children! The impact and response in these communities has been tremendous, turning this rural region into the top performing region in education and reducing teen pregnancy by 80%!
We are seeking to raise $25,000 to secure materials and school supply prizes for the children.
